The Ocular DC Wallbox 40kW delivers DC current straight to the batteries of EVs, as opposed to AC chargers, which need the vehicle’s rectifier to convert AC power into DC in order to charge the vehicle. Most vehicle rectifiers are limited to 7 to 11 kW and are intended for everyday use. DC chargers are used when a quick charge is required. The majority of daily driving will only necessitate the use of an AC Charger. When cars must be turned over fast, DC chargers are ideal.
