The New South Wales (NSW) Government is introducing $3,000 rebates for the initial 25,000 new battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles valued at less than $68,750.
By combining this incentive with the removal of stamp duty, qualified EV buyers can enjoy savings of up to $5,540, fostering the adoption of electric vehicles to surpass 50% of total car sales by the fiscal year 2030-31.
If you register an eligible vehicle starting from September 1, 2021, you are eligible to reclaim your rebate.
- Purchase an eligible electric vehicle.
- Register the vehicle for the first time on or after September 1, 2021.
- Provide proof of purchase when applying for the rebate.
- Take advantage of the stamp duty exemption by registering your vehicle on or after September 1, 2021.
