In contrast to AC chargers, which use the vehicle’s rectifier to convert AC power into DC to charge the vehicle, the Delta DC Wallbox 25kW Charger delivers DC current directly to the batteries of EVs. The majority of vehicle rectifiers are capped at 7 to 11 kW and are made for everyday use. When a very quick charge is required right away, DC chargers are designed. The majority of daily driving just needs an AC Charger. When turning over vehicles fast is required, DC chargers are appropriate.
Both a CCS and CHAdeMO plug are included with the Delta DC Wallbox as standard. Please note that DC charging is not a standard feature on all EVs.
